Products manufactured by Century contain:
Sodium Hypochlorite (0.50% or less)

Dakin's Solution^® is not considered a hazardous substance¹;
therefore a Material Safety Data Sheet is neither required nor available.
Please accept this information sheet as a substitute.

Dakin's^® products are topical, over-the-counter (OTC) human drug products,
which are generally recognized as safe and effective.
Please follow all labeled instructions.
Please contact Century for further information.

The Active Ingredient in Dakin's^® products is
Sodium Hypochlorite. The Inactive Ingredients are Purified Water,
Sodium Bicarbonate (buffer), and Sodium Hydroxide.

Dakin's Solution^® products have a pH of approximately 10.

Do NOT take internally - FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY.

1. Dakin's^® products are not listed as Hazardous Chemicals, therefore they are not subject to
OSHA’s “Right to Know” Hazardous Chemicals requirements, including a Material Safety Data Sheet.

Also, Dakin's^® products are not listed as Hazardous Chemicals in
Department of Transportation regulations. (49 CFR 172.101)
